In Love with You…

Golden rays of sun-kissed my skin in a promising Sunday morning

Thoughts of You never fail to wake me up even before my eyes starts to open

Smiles are apparent; I just woke up yet beginning to live in a trance again…

Maybe I’m falling in love…

Getting you out of my mind may mean taking my own life

Like a vein without a blood; like a body without a soul

Unlike water that quenches thirst, I can’t get enough of you…

I am surely falling in love…

Spending time with you is an endless moment

As infinite as east and west; as vast as the cerulean firmament

Your voice is softer than the angel’s that heals every pain and wrath

I am in love…

You promised the best to me though I am not worthy

At your feet I will lay, and follow your footsteps

In the sand, it may be washed yet in my heart forever it’ll last

Yes! I am in love…

In my worst and darkest days, there your light will outshine the most

Amidst raging storm, you are the eye in which I found peace and serenity

You carry me at your back, in the scarcity of my strength and vitality

No wonder, I am in love…

I am in love with the Savior that brings salvation to nations

Deeply in love with the healer that restores every soul

I will worship the Prince that leads peace and joy

I am absolutely in love …

So precious blood was shed for me at the Calvary

Scorning the shame of the cross and giving your all to me

I can’t find any ways not to love you, to worship or to honor you

I love you…

Golden rays of sun-kissed my skin in a promising Sunday morning

Thoughts of You never fail to wake me up even before my eyes starts to open

Smiles are apparent; I just woke up yet beginning to live in a trance once more…

I will fall in love with you Jesus over and over again…

[Wear my Shoe]: How to Process Online NBI Clearance Application in the Philippines

NBI

Okay. Let me take you to the process of obtaining a NBI Clearance here in the Philippines. I know this is not something I would usually blog about but it may help some people. Who knows.

Disclaimer: I am not claiming that every NBI Clearance Center has the same procedure like what I experience but at least this is what I’ve been through.

I’ve read an article that since January of this year (2014), they re-opened the mall outlets to cater more people and reduce long queue in their main office which is located in UN Avenue in Manila.Having read that, I decided to go to the nearest mall from my residence, Robinson’s Place Manila.

To check the NBI Clearance Center nearest you, click this link.

Enough of the long intro. Here’s the step by step procedure I went through to make NBI Clearance process a breeze. I mean, less stressful.

1. Enroll Online. Go to NBI’s official website (click here) and fill out all the needed information.

2. Print Application Form. Secure a printed copy of the online application form to be presented to any NBI Clearance Center.

3. Go to any NBI Clearance Center. Proceed to your preferred center and secure a queue number (in Rob Manila, you can get it to  the first guard near the stairs) then go to the waiting area. The guard-in-charge will then call your number and tell you where to be seated, then he will distribute application form (applicable only if you don’t have online application form). Tell him you do have an online form.

4. Be patient in waiting. The waiting game will now start. Bring out your phone, gadgets, books, etc that can help you ease the boredom of the waiting process. In my case, I waited about 30 minutes since the guard distributed the form.

TIP: Remind the guard that you have online application form because the you will no longer be lined up in the encoding section.

5. Skip Encoding Section. So here’s the part where you will thank yourself for enrolling online because you will skip the looooooong line of the Encoding Section and jump in to the Payment Section.

6. Payment Section. I suggest you bring the exact amount to avoid delays.

7. Photo Capture and Finger Printing. Such a breeze.

8. Record Checking. The staff will tell you if you can already get the clearance (no hit) or after a week (with hit).

9. Release. Yay! Congratulations! You have your NBI Clearance 🙂

Useful Advice:

– Don’t forget to include the QR code in your printed online application form.

– Bring at least two valid IDs.

– Bring exact amount for payment. You will know how much to pay when you select what type of NBI clearance you are applying.

– Dress appropriately complying the dress code required by some NBI Outlets.

– Bring light snack (bottled water and crackers) in case you got hungry and gadget, magazine or book to keep you busy while waiting.

– Don’t waste your time figuring out things yourself. The key is to ask someone who knows the process (guard or staff).

– Be attentive and listen carefully for instructions and announcement.

– Arrive early/ on time. In Rob Manila’s NBI Center, they are catering three schedule (I think!) first is   9am (people who came 7am onward are catered in the first schedule), 11am and 1pm.

The Bamboo and Fern Story

I was reading some old messages the other night when I stumbled this story a friend sent me three years ago. Felt like God was telling this to me cause it came on the most perfect time. Sharing this to you hoping that you will find this helpful in case you need encouragement.

This is the story of the bamboo and the fern.

One day I decided to quit….
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. ..
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

‘God’, I asked, ‘Can you give me one good reason not to quit?’
His answer surprised me…
‘Look around’, He said. ‘Do you see the fern and the bamboo?’
‘Yes’, I replied.
‘When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds,
I took very good care of them.
I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo’, He said.

‘In year three, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed.
I would not quit.’ He said.

‘Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. ..

But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
‘I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.’

He asked me.
‘Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots’.

‘I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you.’
‘Don’t compare yourself to others.’

He said.
‘The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful.’
‘Your time will come’,

God said to me.
‘You will rise high’
‘How high should I rise?’ I asked.
‘How high will the bamboo rise?’ He asked in return.
‘As high as it can?’ I questioned.
‘Yes.’
He said,
‘Give me glory by rising as high as you can.’

I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

Never, Never, Never Give up.

Credits to the owner/author of the story.

When you feel down and thought God has been doing nothing for you, always remember that he is growing your roots. He will never ever quit on you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). He will be with you to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

May this story be a great reminded of how God will never give up on us.

On the Sea

Its 10pm. And here i am on the middle of the sea traveling by ferry. I let the wind swept my hair and brush my face, it was something i missed. The white waves that creates this soothing sound as it crashes against the foot of the ship. The subtle mists, the stillness.

I was staring in the vastness of the ocean and its pitch black hue. I am almost blinded. Thank God for the occasional glint of light from the lighthouses and lights from the nearby islands that we passed thru.
It was great moment. A quiet one.

I put on my earphones and fill myself with music when a favorite of mine played “I’m inlove with You” by Kari Jobe. Oh! It was like my last day on earth, that moment, i can savor forever. It was surely my kind of “emo”. Lol.

Suddenly, i caught myself talking to God, just praising Him for his creation, his creations that always amazes me. Then he put something in my heart:

Psalms 139:7-12

7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”

12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

You see me.
You see me as your child even if the darkness of my heart hides me.
You see me as wonderful even if the world tells me im not.
You see me as a minister when i cant even know if i can.
You see me as a light in the pitch black world.
You said i can because you will enable me.
You said i am because you made me one.
You see me as yours.
You see me as yours.

I am not defined by what the world tells of me.

Its 11pm and Im about to arrive to my destination. The wind seems never tired of blowing just like God is never tired of me. Im stepping down to another place with indeed another journey, but one thing’s for sure. Wherever i am, i can never flee from his presence. 😍

Simple and Fresh Wedding Make up

Hi Lovelies!

I haven’t blogged in a very long time but this time i will show you a very wearable look for wedding or any occasion or maybe everyday look for some of you. Enough of rambling, lets proceed to step by step procedure to achieve this look! 🙂

PS: Pardon me, I forgot to take pictures of step by step 😦

1. MOISTURIZER and PRIMER. Since this look is all about fresh faced and longevity of make up, we need to moisturize and prime our skin very well to provide a very good base for foundation. I used Myra E moisturizer.

Image

2. WATER- BASED FOUNDATION. If you live in a humid country like Philippines and you tend to be oily, water based foundation with matte finish can be your best friend. Of course you don’t want to be greasy on you’re special day, don’t you?? I use Maybeline gel foundation in Natural Beige.

Image

3. CONCEALER. We’re not perfect! I know! Thats why we need concealer to look flawless on a very special day! 🙂 Put concealer under your eyes and on spots that needs concealing. For brighter looking face, you can try this pattern of putting concealer.

Image

4. BROWS. Everybody knows it frames our face so it is indeed important to make the most natural looking brows if we are going for a fresh look. I love to use ELF brow kit’s wax to stencil the brow then fill them in with the powder. You can also add concealer to make the brows looking clean.

Image

5. EYESHADOW. After applying primer in your eyes, put a pearl colored eyeshadow all over the lid concentrating in the inner lid. Apply this color in the lower lash line as well. Define your crease by applying matte brown shadow and blending it with pearl shadow. Emphasize outer V by brushing a dark brown shadow and blending it with the rest of the colors. You can stop here but I opted to add more depth by putting black in the outer V as well for more definition. Brush dark brown eyeshadow to lower lash line.

6. EYELINER. FALSE LASHES. Put on your favorite liquid or gel liner and slightly wing the outer part. Apply mascara and apply natural false lashes if you need more length and volume. Dont forget to join the two together!

7. CONTOUR. Since flash photography may flatten your face on the pictures, we need to bring back those details by contouring. Use matte bronzer and apply it on the hollows of your cheek, jawline and temples for instant definition.

Image

8. BLUSH. Apply light pink blush on the apples of your cheek for the fresh look!

9. LIPSTICK. You can choose the color you want but I opted for a light peach pink lipstick to get along the natural look.

truth always wins.

Doing right is never wrong. Being honest and trustworthy is the way to live. Perhaps a slight twist of the facts might bring a short term gain. A little misrepresentation might bring some short term satisfaction. But in the end truth always wins, so live like a winner.

Enjoy! Godbless 🙂

You do not have to immerse yourself in the illusion of craziness. You can create your own heaven on earth by being kind, surrounding yourself with good people, and nurturing the earth.
