PERSPECTIVES: On Crowd and in Life

Last Sunday, as I was attending Sunday service at church, our Youth Ministry leader imparted something in relation to our perspective in life.

As per his story, he was walking through a big crowd of students and commuters since it was the rush hour of Monday, the busiest day of the week. While walking through the jammed street, crowd seemed to be too big, the situation seemed to be too hard, as if there is no way to withdraw yourself from it, as if there is no faith…

When he arrived in his destination located in the fourth floor of the building, he take a look from the same crowd that he pass though a while ago, they were small, as if was so easy to pass through them, as if he can conquer everything now..

Then God revealed something that moment, he was reminded that in people’s perspective problems always seemed big and unconquerable but when we start to see things in God’s perspective, we will be amazed on how smallย we see obstacles are, it is because God is bigger than all of those… ๐Ÿ™‚

[Jan.30, 2012] Today, Charm, we believe God wants you to know that …

when you are at a loss of what to do, do nothing.

Doing nothing can be very wise. When you pause doing things, you become more aware of God’s presence, and often an unexpected solution to your question will arise.

Six-year-old boy banned from wearing Christian band

Six-year-old boy banned from wearing Christian band.

We’re blessed to live in a nation where expression of being a Christian is acceptable and favorable.. Read the story where a six-year old boy was banned from school because he wore his Christian band as expression of faith… Let us be grateful and pray for them..

“You do not belong to the world”(John 15:19), God reminded as I stare blankly in the space. My mind is pre-occupied with hanging questions that pertains to the world.

I remember a friend told me, “youโ€™ll understand and do it soon.” talking about the pre marital sex. I tried not to react violently, rather, I asked her why. “Because thatโ€™s the trend and its normal.” she replied. “Not because everybody is doing it, means that its right.” I justified. The conversation goes on until I decided to keep quiet and silently pray for the world. A clear realization was formed in my mind. I was challenged.

Chasing purity isnโ€™t easy yet possible. Yes, indeed possible, with God ,even in the midst of this modern era.

Our generation had been socially degraded, pre-judged and moulded into someone were not. The world makes us think that itโ€™s ok not to pursue purity; because being impure is “normal” and staying pure is “weird and not cool”. Some teaches us to be mediocre so not to be called “trying hard”. Others encourage us to love material things in which they determine your value and worth.

“Iba na talaga ang mga bata ngayon”ย (children nowadays are really different), a clichรฉ. I agree, were different, cause this generation is called by God.

An ambitious generation that will fill the world with Word!

A dynamic young people that will stand up for God!

A strong willed group that will strive for the Lord’s purpose!

We are the light of the world and..

WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

God is there for you to hold on.

Hold on to what is good, even if it’s a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, even if it’s a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, even if it’s a long way from here. Hold on to your faith, even if it’s easier to let go. Hold on to God’s hand.
