Love is NOT a fight but it’s something worth fighting for..

Every February, I noticed that people are getting more “sensitive” in the aspect of love. Well, yah, obviously because Valentines day is fast approaching and romantic relationships can be seen extra sweet than the usual days. And while others (specially bitter singles) locked their room and having self pity, we, Christians can see this day as an open door for sharing the gospel and imparting the love of Christ.

What is Love?

Millions of definitions will flood you if you try to google this one. But for me I would like to define it by quoting a Christian song titled Love is not a Fight by Warren Barfield.

Love is Not a Fight

Warren Barfield

Love is not a place
to come and go as we please
It’s a house we enter in
then commit to never leave

So lock the door behind you
Throw away the key
Work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

Love is a shelter
in a raging storm
Love is peace
in the middle of a war
If we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for

Some love is a word
that they can fall into.
But when they’re falling out
keeping that word is hard to do

Love is a shelter
in a raging storm
Love is peace
in the middle of a war
If we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for

Love will come to save us
If we’ll only call
He will ask nothing from us
but demand we give our all

Love is a shelter
in a raging storm
Love is peace
in the middle of a war
If we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for…

It speaks for itself isn’t it? Love is not supposed to hurt but to heal and bring happiness.

This is also the sountrack of a great Christian movie entitled Fireproof, a story of a couple with a dying relationship, rekindled their love through loving God and putting Him at the center of their relationship. Oh! I remember the scenes and makes me wanna watch it again! This is a must-watch specially for married or soon to be married couples 🙂

Enjoy! God bless

Let us rejoice and be glad

For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
